I recently found out that there is a Benefit store near my University (There is also a MAC store!!). A few things popped into my head when I saw the stores:
1) I need to go inside!
2) Ah my wallet is going to hate me!
So as you do when you have a 2 hour break between your lectures, I went inside. I was so overwhelmed that I forgot to take photos but I will definitely take photos when I go next (yes wallet there is going to be a next time! Haha!). As usual the store was cute like all Benefit stores but the stand that caught my eye was the lip products. I swatched and swatched so many lip glosses that I ran out of space on the back of my hands. I was attracted to their lip glosses since the majority of the them were really pigmented. I ended up buying a Benefit Ultra High Shines Lip Shine in Who Are You Wearing?
As you can see from the photos it is a sheer watermelon pink that has a slight shimmer to it, which is suitable for every day use and the brush applicator makes applying the lip gloss so much more smoother and precise.
I would definitely be looking forward to wear this on nights on. Now I know it is not the typical Autumn/Winter colour as it is not dark, but dark colours lip colours freak me out and I stay well away from them!

Benefit Ultra High Shines Lip Shine retails for £14, and they are available at Benefit stores or their website (click here for their website).
You can also get Benefit products from Boots (here) or Debenhams (here)

I think I need more will power because I know where I will be going half the time! Have you tried anything from Benefit? They are slowly becoming my favourite brand for make up.

So in today's post I have decided to do something a little bit different. Instead of showing you what colour I have painted my nails I thought I should show you what polishes I have brought recently.

So since Christmas is in 2 weeks, I decided to have a look in the stores to grab a few last minute presents. I went into my local TKMaxx which is not a store I normally go into (I think I have only been 4 times in my life!) and I saw that they had a little beauty area!! Woohoo!

I practically ran to the stand and I saw that they stocked nail polishes (bonus!) from brands like W7 to Models Own to even Essie and OPI!! Now I heard that TKMaxx sold Essie but I did not know about OPI so I got a little excited. They only had 2 sets left so I just had to buy one of them.

(from left to right: Stranger Tides,  On Air Perso-Nail-Ity, Hong Kong Sunrise)

The other set also had Stranger Tide and On Air Perso-Nail-Ity and I believe the other polish was called Sea You In Hollywood - it was a shimmery blue. But I do not really go for blues unless they are dark, since I do not think they suit my skin colour.

OPI here in the UK normally costs £11 but this whole set (3 full size polishes) cost only £14.99. That's less than £5 for one polish. Bargain!!

The 3 full size OPI polishes came in a clear plastic bag which can also be re-used. I think I might store my nail tools in it. I personally think the set is perfect for Christmas stockings!

Would you be making a trip to your local TKMaxx to find these polishes?? I think I might go to my local TKMaxx more, especially now that I know OPI and Essie are sold there.

I am not a lipstick kind of girl, I think everyone who knows me would know that I do not wear any sort of colour on my lips, I just prefer tinted lipbalms so if it smudges then it would not be obvious.
I recently popped into Topshop (I am not a huge fan but recently Topshop is doing it for me) and I came across the 'beauty' area. Since I had to waste time as one of my friends was in the dressing room, I decided to swatch a few things.
I then came across Topshop's lipstick in Innocent.

I think this lipstick is mostly overlooked by others since it looks nothing how it is in the tube. I think everyone needs to swatch this against their skin because I feel as if it changes on everyone. (A magical colour changing lipstick?!?! Haha I think I'm losing the plot!)
It is a true rosey pink colour almost like my lips but better, with a velvet finish.
As for the formulation, I really like it. It is creamy so it is easy to use (I dab it on my lips and then blend with my finger to give a bit of colour) and it is also moisturising which I was really surprised at. As for how long it lasts on the lips, I would say it has a good lasting power as I simply apply this in the morning and when I arrive back home (around 7pm) it is still on my lips!
Plus the packaging is really cute! I am such a sucker for cute packaging.

You can buy Topshop lipsticks online (here) or in some selected stores for £8
I think I might pick up some more of their lipsticks!
