Last week Benefit launched their very first gel liner in form of a pen and along with a waterproof eye make up remover. I ordered mine on when it was officially launched which was Friday at midnight from Feel Unique and it was despatched further during the day. I received my order today at midday (and I just had to do a quick review) which I found it to be very quick considering it was over the weekend.
They're Real Push Up Liner is a gel liner pen, which is great if you struggle with making your eyeliner look 100% perfect (or as perfect as it can be!)
The Push Up Liner is completely sleek and compact. I love the crisscross design on the lid and the bottom section of the pen, which is the twist up. It is easy to clean as it does have a shine to the whole packaging, so you cannot see any fingertip marks on the pen.
As it is a gel liner in the form of a pen, in order to get the product you will need to twist the bottom of the pen. The soft silicone angled nib is meant to get up close and personal to your lash line without any extra effort on your behalf and so the product will glide on your eyes with ease.
A little goes a long way with this gel liner, as you can see from the photo above, I twisted the pen too much and so the product is hanging out of the silicone nib. The true black gel eye liner has a matte finish and it literally does not budge once it has set, which is in seconds.
The best way I found to remove the gel liner was definitely with the corresponding eye make up remover.
The They're Real Remover packaging is really nice too, it comes in a tube so it is easy to get the product out. The actually tube, unlike the Push Up Liner, has a matte black finish with a crisscross design which has a shine.
One of my favourite mascaras is the Benefit They're Real mascara, but it is a pain to remove and so Benefit have obviously listen to this and thus the Benefit They're Real Remover is born! It is a creamy balm like texture, which melts your eye make up with ease by just massaging the cleanser on your eye area. One of the things I found is that the remover is very gentle so I did not need to tug at my eyes, but it also did not sting my eyes which I normally have an issue with.
The Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner retails for £18.50 (click here to purchase), which is not the cheapest eye liner on the market but for what it is I think it is reasonably priced. The remover retails for £14.50 (click here to purchase) which again is not the cheapest but a little goes a long way.

Have you picked up the new Push Up Liner and Remover yet?

Ever since the sun has finally come out, it officially means Summer is here!! And so, that means shorter sleeves and lighter perfumes come into action. I am pretty useless when it comes to describing scents so I will leave the notes below with the corresponding perfume.
Vera Wang Lovestruck - I have had this in my collection since last year and it is only during the Summer I tend to wear it. I prefer floral scents when it comes to perfumes and so it was no surprise that I love this one. It is not too in your face and after a few hours the scent still lingers.
Heart Notes: Tuberose, Lotus Blossom
Top Notes: Pink Guava, Mandarin
Base Notes: Precious Woods, Sheer Musk
Marc Jacobs Daisy - This is hands down one of my favourite perfumes I have in my collection. It is definitely a floral perfume but it is not so intense. It is one of those perfumes where if you wear it, the person next to you will recognise it. Plus the bottle is just adorable!
Heart Notes: violet, jasmine and gardenia.
Top Notes: wild strawberries, violet leaves and ruby red grapefruit.
Base Notes: white woods, vanilla infusion, musk.
Ralph Lauren The Big Pony Collection 2 - I absolutely love Ralph Lauren, in fact when I was 16 the only perfume I used every single day was Ralph by Ralph Lauren - I am currently out so I need to get another bottle soon! However when Ralph Lauren released The Big Pony Collection in 2012 I instantly knew I wanted to get this one. It is definitely one to wear during the day and it has a 'younger' scent to it, so it would probably be best for those in their teens or twenties.
It is described as: The Sensual Fragrance is a “floriental fruity” scent with the key ingredients of cranberry and tonka mousse. For the alluring flirt with a romantic spirit who’s playful and irresistible, this modern woman follows her heart—and she just might break yours.
Notes: Cranberry, Tonka Mousse
Style: Playful, Romantic, Irresistible, Flirty
ChloĆ© L'eau de ChloĆ© - I think this may be discontinued but it is one that I only wear when the sun comes out. It definitely lingers on your skin all day and can be over powering at times.
Notes: grapefruit, cedrat, peach, violet, rose petals, cedarwood, patchouli and amber.
Style: free, feminine and spontaneous.
DKNY Be Delicious - This was probably the second perfume I have ever brought. It honestly just reminds me of a granny smith apple (my favourite kind!) and so it is perfect to wear during the day as it is just so light and clean.
Heart Notes: tuberose, lily of the valley, rose and violet.
Top Notes: green notes, violet leaf, apple, grapefruit and magnolia.
Base Notes: sandalwood, amber and musk.

What are your favourite perfumes for the Summer?

Ever since I brought a mini Deborah Lippmann set from Sephora (which you can read here), I have been obsessed with it, so much so I brought another (different) set from Deborah Lippmann, which is called 'Two of Hearts'.
The set came with a little make up bag which is covered in multicoloured glitter just like the Candyshop nail polish. This bag can fit both nail polishes and maybe even a third mini Deborah Lippmann polish.
Inside the set contained two nail polishes called Shape of My Heart and another famous Deborah Lippmann glitter nail polish called Candyshop. Both of these nail polishes are mini sizes (8ml) whereas the original size is 15ml.
Here is how the nail polishes look when applied on your nails.
Candyshop is a multicoloured glitter in a bubblegum pink base, I have shown in the photo below how it looks with one and two coats. Candyshop is truly unique in comparison to other nail polishes that I have seen and even own.
Shape of my Heart is a sheer baby pink colour with a creme finish. I managed to get away with only just two coats but I think I needed a third coat just so my tips are not so visible. I did find this nail polish to be slightly streaky but when dried you can barely see the strokes.

This set retails for £18 and you can find it on Look Fantastic (click here to purchase).

Do you have any of her nail polishes?

I have been eyeing up Zoeva brushes since last year but I have never brought myself to actually purchase any however it was until I saw the Rose Gold brush set that I finally decided to do so.
The set itself comes with eight gorgeous brushes, three which are designed for your eyes and the other five which are for your face. It includes a crease brush (231), a fluffy brush which would be great to swipe any eyeshadow on your lids if you're in a rush (227) - a dupe for the MAC 217 brush. It also comes with a concealer brush (142) which is great for the under eyes and for around the nose or chin area. Finally the last eye brush is an angled brush which is designed for using gel eyeliner (317).
As for the face brushes, it includes a fluffy powder brush (106), a contour brush (110) which can be used with both cream and powder products, it also comes with an angled natural hair brush (127) which is great for applying blush with and finally it comes with a round stiffer brush (102) which is great for using with liquid foundation. The brush set also comes with a brown (p)leather make up bag that has rose gold hardware.
Inside the make up bag it has another zip pocket for any loose ends that you may have.
These brushes are of such high quality, I really love them! Plus they are super affordable. The Rose Golden Luxury Set retails for just 58 EUR, and when converted into pounds, that's £47 for eight high quality make up brushes. I paid around £55 (which included p&p) and I did not need to pay any customs for it (I hate it when that happens!) and in terms of delivery, I ordered this on a Sunday and it  despatched on the following Tuesday arrived two days later on the Thursday, so it was quick.

I strongly urge you to go and buy it if you're contemplating because for a while this was out of stock and I was kicking myself for not buying it any sooner.

I mentioned in a previous post a few weeks back that I popped into Space NK and brought two HOURGLASS products, the first being the Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light and the other was an Ambient Lighting blush in Diffused Heat.
Diffused Heat is described as being a vibrant poppy colour. The product itself is mixed with the Ambient Lighting powder in Diffused Light. As you can see in the photo below (I couldn't wait to swatch it-sorry!), when mixed the blush is a light pink that has warm undertones along with some shimmer.
Diffused Heat is not highly pigmented that you have to be careful when applying it to your cheeks but it can definitely be built up without looking cakey. It is easy to blend out because it is so delicate to work with, when applied on your cheeks it feels so soft and silky. It is literally the most perfect shade of pink for your cheeks, it also creates a sheen to your skin so you do not look like a disco ball when you wear it.
There are six shades in total and all are free from parabens, talc, nano-particles and gluten(!). They are also fragrance free which is great if you are sensitive to fragranced powders.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Diffused Heat retails for £28 and you can buy it at Space NK in store or online (click here to purchase)

A few weeks ago I popped into Space NK and I brought two HOURGLASS products, I will be doing a separate post on the other product I brought but the first one I picked up was the Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light.
Dim Light is described as being a natural peachy beige colour. As you can see from the swatches above, it is definitely a light peachy beige colour that has a warm undertone to it. When blended out it gives such a lovely glow to your skin and it simply blurs any imperfections. I simply apply this on the centre of my face as a finishing powder and under my eyes to help brighten it up. I have found that no matter how heavy handed I might be with this powder, it can never look cakey and it does not settle into any lines, which is great! It simply gives off a sheen and makes your skin have a luminous finish.

There are six shades in total and all are free from parabens, talc, nano-particles and gluten(!). They are also fragrance free which is great if you are sensitive to fragranced powders.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Dim Light retails for £38 and you can buy it at Space NK in store or online (click here to purchase)

I went into MAC the other day since it had been ages since I last went in (I think I last went into a MAC store in August last year!). I saw they had released the new Alluring Aquatic collection for Summer 2014 and I decided to pick up a blush since that was the only thing that really stood out to me and I chose Sea Me Hear Me.
All of the products from the collection are in an aqua metallic packaging which has raised 'water droplets' on it. It's a nice added touch to the whole collection.
MAC Sea Me Hear Me blush is part of the extra dimension range so it more easy to work with.
Sea Me Hear Me is a coral colour that has a warm undertone along with having a satin like sheeny finish when applied on your cheeks.
The blush itself is incredibly blendable on the skin and it can be built up for more colour payoff.
The texture is so soft and smooth to work with and it is not powdery at all!

MAC Sea Me Hear Me Blush retailed for £20 and unfortunately I do not think you can get the blush anymore but be sure to check your local MAC counters.

This month was really long and hectic for me, I had non stop exams and assignments due and I am actually glad that the month is over. That being said I barely used any new products but I found quite a few old favourites..
 1. Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover foundation for face and body in Medium/Deep (07) - even though this is a little bit too dark for me at the moment, I can still work with it and this month is was a lifesaver since I broke out quite a bit on cheeks  (which has never happened before!) it literally covered everything! This foundation provides 100% coverage which is great if you have any scars etc that you want to cover.
2. Benefit Ooh La Lift - I have had this for some time now and it was not until this month that I started to use it. I simply applied this under my eyes, patted it in and then applied a concealer on top and to be honest, I didn't think it did anything special until people started to compliment how awake I looked.
3. STILA All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten - I have been using this as a highlight this month. It looks scary when swatched but when blended out on your cheekbones it looks lovely. I wrote a product review on this product a few months back which you can read here.
4. NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Sex Machine - again, NARS have such explicit names but I really love this lip pencil. It's such a wearable colour that suits every skin tone, if you are near a NARS counter then be sure to swatch this!
5. Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer - I brought this product by mistake a few months ago and I thought I should just use it up since I didn't think much of it. It really made a difference on how dry my skin had gotten, it definitely added hydration.
6. Charles Worthington Shine All Over Gloss Finish - I have had this for ages and I found it hidden in my hair care stash, I fell in love with it again. I simply use this once I have styled my hair for added shine since my hair started to look a bit dull this month. It also smells of watermelon!

So that is it for my May beauty favourites, not much but these are the products that stood out to me this month.
What have you been loving?
