Happy New Year's Eve everyone! I thought I would show you all what I am wearing on my nails for  tonight. I decided to dabble a little more into some nail art and this is what I came up with. It is a very simple design and only took a matter of minutes. I used the shade Essie - Parka Perfect as my base colour, it is a blueish grey colour with a hint of silver shimmer running through it. The shimmer is very subtle and looks barely there when it is on nails.
I then used a cotton bud and added some white dots on my nails, I used Barry M - White which is a pure white polish with a cream finish. To add some more colour to my nails, I used OPI - Did You 'ear About Van Gogh? this is light beige nude shade and it is one of my all time favourite nudes. To add a little sparkle I went with my favourite foil like nail polish from OPI, it is OPI - Designer de Better. It is a silver foil with tiny specks of bronze running through it and even though it was from the Muppets collection back in 2011, it is still my favourite and I do regret not buying the full size.
To finish, I used Butter London Hardwear topcoat which helps to even everything out and gives a glossy finish to your nails.

When I preordered the NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette last month, I had to bump up the price a little to get free shipping (I really don't like paying for p&p - haha!) and so after searching through the website I saw the NARS Audacious lipsticks were in stock and so I decided to pick up the shade Anita, which is the one that I have been eyeing up for the past few weeks.
The shade Anita is described as an 'antique rose' and I would have to say that it is spot on. It is a dark pink shade that has a warm undertone to it. It is very pigmented and it is literally opaque with just one swipe. Whenever I wear lipsticks, it normally dries out my lips and with this lipstick it does not do that, it is creamy and very hydrating on the lips. Anita is a very 'me' shade so it was no surprise that I really like this shade.
My only issue is that there should be a shade called Mandy - just saying, haha! At £24, it is not exactly cheap but the formulation and staying power is worth it! I would definitely suggest that you swatch the shades before you buy them.

Christmas is the time of year when you can wear all the glitter you want and not look like a 5 year old, it is also the time of year when I see a ton of different nail art designs out there and whilst they all look incredible, I honestly do not have the time to sit down for half an hour and create festive looking designs. So today, I thought I would show you my fail safe festive nails for the holidays.
I simply used three different nail polishes and alternated them on my fingers, the ones that I chose today was Barry M - White, which is a plain white polish with a cream finish, it is a little sheer so I had to do about three coats for a clean and opaque finish. I then decided to use Kate Spade by Nails Inc in the shade Big Apple Red, which again is a plain true red polish with a cream finish, and with just one coat it was completely opaque. Unfortunately this was a free gift that came with Glamour magazine last year but Nails Inc - Tate is very similar.
In order to make everything a little bit more fancy I opted for one of my favourite glitter polishes by OPI. Personally, I think OPI makes the best glitter polishes (followed closely by Deborah Lippmann) since they have great a formulation. The shade I chose is OPI - Excuse Moi!, which was from the Muppets collection a few years ago but I think you can still get your hands on it. Excuse Moi! is a multicoloured glitter in a red base, which also has smaller silver glitter running through it. I did about two coats to get an opaque finish and I then topped it off with Butter London Hardwear topcoat, which is a great topcoat to use because it has a thinner formula so it dries within seconds and it gives a clean and glossy finish to your manicure.
So like I said before this is my fail safe festive nails and everyone can do it for the holidays.

I mentioned in my Perfect Palette Tag post a few months ago (which you can click here to read) that I would use my Urban Decay Moonflower palette for travelling, and so I decided it would be interesting as to which single eyeshadows I have from Urban Decay. This palette is truly perfect because I only had three single eyeshadows (all in the newer packaging) so the palette was perfect to store my single eyeshadows as they were getting neglected. You know what they say - out of sight, out of mind!
The palette comes with four slots which you can interchange all the newly designed UD eyeshadows by simply popping them out, a downside if you have the older packaging since in order to use the palette you would have to completely depot the eyeshadow.
The palette itself comes with an eyeshadow in the shade 'Moonflower(it is in the top left hand corner), one that not many people are fond of but I really like it! It is a coppery peach that has a sheen finish to it. It is great for simply washing it all over the lid for a day time look or you can pack it on for a more intense look. It is incredibly pigmented, like all other UD eyeshadows, however, this shade is exclusive to this palette. I only have three single eyeshadows from Urban Decay, the first is the shade Baked, which is a gold-y bronze shade, it does not look like much in the pan but when applied to your eyes it is really something. The second shade is Diamond Dog, this is from Urban Decay's Moondust range. it is a deep brown with champagne sparkle running through it. It is a little sheer if you are to use it dry but I prefer using it with a damp flat shader brush, as it has a much intense colour payoff. The last shade is probably my favourite from the lot because of the colour and it is Midnight Cowboy Rides Again. It is a champagne shade with a pink undertone and some micro silver sparkle running through it and this is normally the shade I go to when I want to add a little something extra to my eyeshadow, it looks great in the inner corner and on the centre of the lid.

The Moonflower palette came out sometime last year and I really like the concept behind it, it honestly makes storing my single UD eyeshadows much easier.

Ok, so maybe the title of this post is a little misleading. I love all my MAC lipsticks and have repurchased two shades in the past few years, this being one of them. A few weeks ago, Debenhams had a 10% sale on MAC and so I decided to repurchase MAC Faux lipstick - side note: did you know MAC lipsticks have increased to £15.50, ridiculous!! I mentioned this lipstick in my November beauty favourites and so I thought I would talk a little more about it.
Faux is my favourite go to everyday shade, it is pinky browny nude shade which does not wash me out and so it adds a little something to your lips. I hate to say it, but it really is a 'my lips but better' shade. It does has a satin finish so it is not quite matte nor is it glossy, it does have a little sheen to it which I quite like as it is not quite as drying on the lips. It is very pigmented - I only did one swipe in the photo above and it is fairly opaque.
MAC Faux is very creamy and very hydrating on the lips, I did not need to reapply every hour which is an added bonus! It is lighter than MAC Twig lipstick so I tend to reach for this one on a daily basis but I love both. Like I said before, this is the second shade from MAC that I have repurchased and probably will continue to repurchase, it is definitely in my top 5 favourites lipstick shades from MAC.

MAC lipstick // £15.50

Ever since the Loreal Superliner Carbon Gloss liner was discontinued, I gave up trying to find a new liquid eyeliner that would last all day. Everytime I used to pop into Boots or Superdrug, I would come out with swatches of different eyeliners. Normally within the hour, some start to fade, flake off or smudge, and so I have been on the hunt for a new favourite.
I came across the Loreal Superliner Black Lacquer liquid liner, it is from the same range as the Carbon Gloss liner, so I did have high hopes for it plus it is waterproof - perfect for my watery eyes!
Loreal Superliner Black Lacquer has a sponge tip applicator, like Carbon Gloss, to help create a fine line or even thick sultry flicks. I was surprised when I first swatched it on the back of my hand, because it was just so black/pigmented. It also dried within seconds and I found that it did not fade through out the day nor did it flake off, which is a huge plus!
Since I am prone to having watery sensitive eyes 24/7, it did not sting my eyes when I applied it, plus I was even more surprised that this liner did not smudge throughout the day, as I have a tendency to find my liner to smudge at the corner of my eyes. In terms of removal, I just use my BioDerma to remove it at the end of the day and it comes off with ease.
Overall, I am seriously impressed with the Loreal Superliner Black Lacquer waterproof liner but it is still no Carbon Gloss and I do not think anything would compare to that, but I really do like this liner and I would definitely repurchase it in the future.

So in my last Sephora haul, I mentioned that I brought the Tarte Bon Voyage collector's set and so I thought that I should make a detailed post since the set contained quite a few products. The only thing I have tried from Tarte is the Amazonian concealer and so, personally I think this is a great way to try Tarte products if you haven't in the past. The french-themed Tarte Bon Voyage collector's set comes with four deluxe sized products, two full sized products and an eyeshadow palette which contains 20 shades, all in a large limited edition travel bag.
So the whole set comes with a deluxe sized Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 mascara, a deluxe sized Majacuja oil, which can be used on your faces, hands and body plus it has a little mini pipette which made me get really excited to use it. It also comes with a deluxe size of the Smooth Operator Amazonian clay finishing powder, which can be used on top of your make up to set everything in place or alone. It also came with a deluxe sized Cheek Stain in Muse, which is limited edition. It is a browny beige with a metallic finish to it and whilst it may look nice as a blush, I can see myself using it more as a highlight since it is so metallic. The set also came with two full sized lip products, the first being the LipSurgence lip tint in Romantic which described as a peachy nude but I would say is more of a coral-pink with a glossy finish. The second full sized product is the LipSurgence lipgloss in Visionary which is a peachy coral shade with some shimmer running through it.
The next product in the whole set is an eyeshadow palette, which I was very excited to try out and to be honest, is what made me buy the whole set. The palette contains 20 exclusive full sized shades and the majority of the shades are matte, which is great! The palette has a very slim design and it can be tucked away without taking up much space.
So as I said before, the palette comes with 20 shades, all of which are very wearable neutral shades, along with some colourful (yet still neutral) shades, as you can see from the swatches below.
The top row of the palette are very purple toned, Palace of Versaille (matte) is a light pink shade which is great to use as a highlight. Moulin Rouge (matte), is a plummy taupe shade, this was hard to swatch as it is close to my skintone but you can still see it. I Think I Cannes (matte), is a darker plummy taupe with a hint of grey. My Own Cotes de Rhone (matte) is a much darker cooler purple and lastly, Boudoir Noir is a dark brown, this is a semi matte shade.
The second row are more brown in tone, Fall in Louvre (satin) is a light beige and is a lovely highlight shade. Provence Upon a Time, is a dark warm-toned gold (frosted finish), Eiffel For You, is a medium toned olive brown shade (matte), whilst Too Haute to Handle is a dark bronzey brown shade and Bastille in the Night is a dark brown, both of these have a satin finish.
Chantilly Lace is a light beige with some shimmer running through it. Merci You Later (matte), is a dark taupe and is great to use as a transition shade. No Champagne No Gain, is a gold with a metallic sheen to it, this is probably one of my favourite shades in the whole palette. Take on Bordeaux is a dark brown with a satin finish and lastly, French Riviera is a dark green with a frosted finish.
Finally, the last row in the whole palette contains more greyish blue tones. C'est la Vie, is a sparkly pewter shade, which would be great to use on the centre of the eye. Marseille the Word, is a darker pewter grey, which has a pearly sheen to it. Play Nice, is a blueish purple shade which has a semi matte finish. On a Good Notre Dame is a dark black, which again has a semi matte finish to it and lastly, Le Cordon Bleu is a blueish purple, leaning more towards the blue side of the spectrum with a matte finish.
Overall, this whole palette has really lovely shades and although some are not as pigmented as I would like them to be, I still really like it since it is perfect for this time of the year, plus you can never have too many palettes right?!?

If you saw my latest Sephora haul post, then you would have seen that I brought a few more lip products from Bite Beauty. I brought a lipstick duo when I made my first Sephora order, which I mentioned here and I have been obsessed with it, so I had to pick up a few more.
I came across the Bite Beauty Mix 'n' Mingle range, which contains deluxe sizes of the full sized products for just $12, and so I chose three products. The first two are the Colour Matte Crème Lip Crayons in the shades Glacé, which is a dusty mauve shade and Gavi, which is a brighter peachy nude. I have found that even though these are said to be matte, they have a satin feel to them. I did not find it to be drying on my lips and they lasted for quite a long time too.
The third and final lip product I picked up is another Luminous Créme lipstick duo. I have been obsessed with the one I picked up in my last Sephora haul and so I had to pick up another. I chose the shade Retsina/Musk, which is a neutral lipstick duo. Retsina is a light pinky nude shade, again this is does not have a matte finish and like the name suggests it does have a luminous finish to it, in the terms that it has a satin look and feel to your lips. The other shade in the duo is the shade Musk, which I have been eyeing up for the longest time ever. Musk is a rosey-pinky brown shade and is very opaque on the lips, as are all the other shades that I have tried from Bite Beauty.

The limited edition Bite Beauty Mix 'n' Mingle range are designed to be as gifted ornaments for this holiday season and are a great way to test the products from the range.

I always gravitate towards lip balms instead of lipsticks on a daily basis and the one that I have been using non stop these past few weeks is the Dior Addict Lip Glow.
It is a unique lip balm which enhances your natural lip colour by working with the pH levels, personally on me, it is a sheer bright pink shade which I quite like for an everyday basis. It does not feel sticky at all on the lips, which I quite dislike whenever I wear lip balms, I want my lip balm to nourish and protect my lips without that sticky feeling and this product does just that. It contains SPF10 along with wild mango and luffa cylindrica which helps to protect and moisturise your lips on a daily basis, especially now since it has gotten a lot colder here in the UK.
Like all Dior products, the packaging is all very fancy and you definitely get what you pay for. I was given a voucher from FeelUnique for my birthday in September and I decided to pick this up. So I did pay a little less than the usual price, but I would pay full price for this.

Black Friday occurs after Thanksgiving and whilst it is an American custom, here in the UK Black Friday has become a big deal this year. All the well known stores had sales for the entire weekend and whilst some were good, I still prefer the boxing day sales when everything becomes ridiculously cheap. The one website I was checking out was Sephora, for the past few years they have $10 deals going on that are just too good to pass and so I made an order (as you do!).
I picked up the Tarte Bon Voyage Collector's set and travel bag, after hearing so much about Tarte I thought this would be a good start to try more of their products. I already have the Amazonian clay concealer and I really like it but I have yet to try the blushes and they are next on my list, I seriously regret not picking one up when I was in Vegas earlier this year. Since there is a lot in this set, I will be dedicating a whole post to this set within the next week, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled.
I also picked up a few more Bite Beauty lip products, I really like the lipstick duo I brought in my last Sephora F/W 2014 Haul and so it was no surprise I picked up a few more. These are part of the Bite Beauty Mix 'n' Mingle range this year, which is just deluxe sizes of the original products for Christmas time, again I will be dedicating a whole post to these within the week.
So one of the $10 deals that Sephora had was one by Bite Beauty, here the set contained three of the Lush Fruit lip glosses. The shades are Rambutan, which is a peachy nude shade, Currant which is a very sheer plumy shade and Strawberry which is a semi sheer bright pink. I can see myself using all these shades and even though I am a little disappointed with the pigmentation of the shade Currant, I can see myself using it as an everyday shade without fail.
The last $10 deal I brought is the Boscia Pore Purifying Duo, which contains the Luminzing Black Mask and the Black Charcoal Blotting Linens (which is originally $10 anyways!). I have been wanting to try Boscia for sometime now and I am excited to try this out, there is something about peel off masks that are just so satisfying, plus I have heard great reviews!
Unfortunately I wanted two more of the $10 deal sets, the first being one from Tarte which contained three deluxe sized products - one being the Amazonian clay blush in Magic, which sold out instantly and also the NEST trio rollerball set. I have been wanting to try the NEST perfume in Midnight Fleur but unfortuantely since Sephora does not ship perfumes internationally, I could not try it.

In terms of shipping, I made this order on Friday, it despatched on Sunday and it arrived first thing Wednesday morning. I was pretty excited when I saw the yellow DHL van outside my window even though the doorbell did make me leave my warm bed(!)
I am going to be posting two more posts dedicating them to the Bite Beauty lip products I brought in this post and also the Tarte Bon Voyage Collector's set, so be sure to follow me (links are on the side) to keep up to date. What did you buy on Black Friday??

I know I'm a little late with this month's favourites, but things with uni have just gotten a little more intense and so actually sitting down and writing up blog posts is a little bit time consuming but I promise, this month's favourite was worth the wait.
So this month was the month of new releases, the one I have been obsessed with is the NARS Digital World Lip Pencil Coffret, which I mentioned earlier this month. From the set, I have been obsessed with the shade 'Descanso', which is a pinky peach shade. I have been wearing this most days but when I want to spice things up a little I have been using the shade 'Iberico' which is a bright orangey red, a little out of my comfort zone but I really like the way it looks. I repurchased my favourite MAC lipstick of all time in the shade Faux. It is a great everyday shade and I have been wearing it everyday this month (well, when I'm not wearing Descanso). The DIOR 5 colours palette in Montaigne (646) has been the one I've been grabbing this month, it is such a great everyday palette, I especially like to use the darker shade to smoke my lower lash line a little.
The Kevyn Aucoin The Creamy Duo #4 has been a rediscovery this month, I brought this earlier this year and I forgot about it until this month. I mentioned this earlier this month on how it does not cling to any dry patches and the highlighter does not make you look like a disco ball. The Ro's Argan Body Conditioner from Lush, has been a huge favourite this month. I suffer from really dry shins, no matter how much I moisturise it is always dry and so I did not have high expectations from this but it has completely blown my mind, it really does make a difference!
Back to lips again, and I have been reaching for lipgloss more than usual, the one I have been using a lot this month is MAC Fashion Scoop cremesheen glass, I brought this in a set last year and it is still going strong. Another rediscovery is the NARS Douceur blush, apparently this is now discontinued so it made me want to dig it out again. I really do not know why I stopped using this, it is the perfect pinky brown shade. I mentioned in my Sephora F/W 2014 Haul that I will let you all know what I think about the Sephora Pro Airbrush brush in #55 and I understand what the hype is all about. It blends your foundation/concealer flawlessly, the only 'fault' I can find is how long the handle is but I can get over that.
The REN Invisible Pores Detox Mask has been a product I have had lying in my stash for a few months and it was not until this month when I tried it and when I did, my mind was completely blown. Dare I say it, it is better than the GlamGlow Super-Mud mask - it really did make the pores on my nose practically vanish and it made it a lot smoother. Finally, my last favourite of this month is the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream perfume, a twist to the original Daisy perfume but it is a lot more fresh. I am useless when it comes to scents but if you are looking for a new perfume then I highly suggest this one.

Wow, 11 favourite products this month - I honestly do not know how that happened! If you were to buy one thing then I highly suggest the NARS Douceur blush, it is just so pretty!
