SEPHORA #4: THE FRENCH EDITION

It's no surprise, if you follow me on Instagram, that I went a little crazy in Sephora. I have had a few items on my list which I wanted to see in person/could not ship from the US and so I allowed myself to pick them up this time around.
When I first entered Sephora, I went straight towards the nail polish display. Nail polishes are something that you cannot ship from the US and I had a few that I wanted to pick up so I decided to pick them up. I first picked up the Formula X The System set, which contains a cleanser, a primer and a top coat. The cleanser and primer sounded really interesting, so I can't wait to try this. I then picked up four shades from the range. I initially wanted Thrilling, which is the lighter grey in the photos above, however I picked up Virtuoso (the darker grey which is still equally as nice) by accident the first time around, so I went back and picked up the correct shade. I also picked up Infatuated (a pale blue) and Exclamation (a stunning rose). After hearing a lot about the Sephora instant nail polish remover for glitter, I knew I had to pick it up. I tried it as soon as I got back to my hotel room and it's amazing at taking off regular nail polish. Literally one 'dip' and it's off!
My cousin tried the Sephora Brightening and Hydrating Foundation, and it looked amazing on her skin so I wanted to pick up one for myself (I got the shade 33). I was actually lucky to find my shade because it was sold out everywhere! I've tried this once and I really like it on the skin. It covers my redness without clinging to any dry patches - it's great! I also picked up the Sephora Triple Action Cleansing water, which I've heard is pretty much like Bioderma but I wanted to see if it compares, plus the bottle is great because it comes with a pump!
I also wanted to pick up a face powder, which was not translucent, to help add some coverage but also to take away the shine. I tested a few and I kept coming back to the Sephora 8hr matifying pressed powder in medium (30). It is very finely milled and it feels very silky on the skin. A few years ago, I posted my first Sephora French haul and included the Sephora nano lip liner (which is still great) and so, I wanted to pick up a few more. I settled on just two shades, the first being Pale Beige (14), which is the perfect nude and Vintage Pink (12), which is a brighter rosy pink.
As my Kat Von D eyeliner has officially run out, I wanted to get a new eyeliner which was just as great, as unfortunately Kat Von D is not available in France. I came across the Sephora Fine Line eyeliner, which is a felt tip liner, however I looked past that when I tested it on the back of my hand. It creates such a thin line, which is great if you want a really precise line and/or you're just starting out with liquid liner.

So I did pick up a lot of Sephora's own range but I feel as if it is really underrated as they have amazing products. I also have another haul coming soon, which contains a few more higher end pieces from Sephora and duty free, so be sure to follow me on Bloglovin' to know when that is up :)

WORTH IT: LIZ EARLE CLEANSE AND POLISH

The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is probably an old favourite I will always go back to. I had placed an order a few months back on the Liz Earle website, and with my order came four free minis - one being the cleanse and polish. I didn't realise how much I missed this until I took it on holiday with me! I used it both morning and night, and it worked wonders for me.

Whilst on holiday my skin felt a little drier than usual (as it would considering it was really hot) and my eczema flared up a little too, so I'm glad I took this with me. It felt cooling on the skin and it literally takes off all your make up without stripping your skin and making it feel tight/irritated. Since my eczema flared up, the skin on my face felt a little more sensitive than usual and it did not irritate it at all. In fact, I think it even helped to calm it down, considering it contains chamomile and eucalyptus. What I like about this cleanser is than you apply it on dry skin and just rub it into the skin, when you wipe away the excess with a muslin cloth, it makes your skin feel a lot smoother and cleaner but without making your skin look/feel dry. I feel as if this moisturises the skin too.

If you're looking for a new cleanser then I highly recommend this, especially if you suffer from having both dry and/or sensitive skin.

HOLIDAY ESSENTIALS

Bonjour! I'm back from the South of France (I posted a ton of photos on my Instagram) and as much as I want to go back and relax, I had to come back at some point. Whilst I was on holiday, I took a bunch of products but I found myself reaching for the same things everyday and so, I thought it would be interesting to show you all what I used on an everyday basis/my essentials.
First up is the NARS Guy Bourdin cheek palette. I always use this palette whenever I'm travelling, since it is so handy to use. It contains four blushers of all different shades and finishes, one bronzer and a highlighter - which essentially is all you need. I used it every single day, more specially I used the bronzer (in the shade Laguna) and the bright pink blusher (in the shade Mistinguette) along with the blusher below (in the shade Deep Throat). A cheek palette is amazing to use when travelling, it takes up less space and you have a variety of shades to choose from.
The one make up product for the eyes I used everyday was the Make Up For Ever Aqua Liner (and mascara). I found that when I didn't apply it, I looked a little tired and sleepy. So applying this everyday really helped me to look much more awake, plus it looked really nice - haha!
For the face, I reached for my NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser, this is probably one of my favourite base I've ever tried. It looks natural on the skin but it provides a decent amount of coverage. It also contains SPF 30, which is fantastic especially because I was out in the sun every single day. To brighten up my under eyes, I used my YSL Touche √Člcat. Now this is definitely not a concealer but it does provide some coverage and it really brightens up the under eye area.
The one step I did before and after my make up was applying the Urban Decay All Nighter Make Up Setting Spray. Now, I have never had an issue with my make up slipping off my face during the day, but I noticed that for the first half of the day, my make up would look great and after a while, it looked as if I wasn't wearing anything! Applying this before and after, really made a huge difference in the longevity and it actually made it look a lot better.

What are your holiday essentials? Also, I forgot to take my camera on my trip so the photos you are seeing are from my iPhone and if you want to see a post of my trip then let me know below on what you would like to know, and I'll definitely do that for you all :)

THE ROUND UP | JULY 2015

Hello everyone! Long time no post! I've been so busy lately that I have barely had the time to write a blog post but I thought I would come back with a post on the products I've been loving for the past couple of months, since I have not done a Round Up post in a while. As it's Summer, I've been reaching for quick and easy products, and so my ultimate favourite has been the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser. I have not used this in years, and I finally decided to pick it up and I've been in love! I don't know why I stopped using it, it takes off your make up so effortlessly and, as someone who has dry and sensitive skin, this is so gentle on the skin.
For make up, I've been using the new(ish) Urban Decay Perversion mascara, and it's great! I didn't have high hopes for this mascara but I'm glad I gave this a go. It adds so much length and volume to my lashes, that I've even been asked if I'm wearing false lashes! I've been reaching for a handful of lip products for the past couple of months, and the one lip liner I've been consistently wearing is MAC Boldly Bare. This is literally one of the best lip liner I've used, it is the perfect shade and it lasts for ages! I can always still see it on my lips when I come home after a long day. Over the top, I've been alternating between two lipsticks, the first being MAC Speed Dial, which is a typical pink which has a golden sheen to it, this is a great Summer pink. The second is the Milani lipstick in Matte Naked, which is the perfect nude lipstick to apply on the go, it is slightly darker but when applied over MAC Boldly Bare, it has such a lovely colour payoff.
The one bronzer I've been obsessed with is the MAC Sculpt Defining Bronzer powder in Delicates, which is probably no surprise. This was a part of the MAC Wash and Dry collection for Summer. This bronzer is amazing, it is not so pigmented that you have to spend an extra minute blending it, and that's what I love about it. I can simply apply this all over and I know that it will not be harsh. The Too Faced Hangover primer has been the primer I've been reaching for ever since I got my hands on it last month. I've spoken about it more here, but all I can say is that if you have dry skin then you definitely will love it.

What have you been loving lately? I know I haven't posted in a while but I have a few posts planned for the next couple of weeks, so be sure to follow me on Bloglovin' to be in the loop - also I'm going away to the South of France this week, so let me know if you want any 'holiday' type posts!
