Okay, so maybe the little of this post is a little extreme but it is honestly how I feel about this product. I have had eczema since the day I was born, so my skin is a lot drier than most and I have always struggled trying to find a body moisturiser that I was happy with. I have tried many in the past and whilst they do make a difference I have never really seen a difference in the texture or appearance of my skin. Thus, introducing the oh-so famous Kiehl's Creme de Corps.

I had some points to spend on SpaceNK and whilst I received a ton of recommendations (thank you for that!) I kept going back to this. I decided to just purchase it and see how it was. I honestly cannot recommend this enough. It is a super-enriched moisturiser which does not feel greasy at all on the skin and so it sinks into the skin easily. As it contains sesame oil and cocoa butter it helps to deeply hydrate the skin. As it says on the bottle, I have been using it for 10 days straight and I can honestly tell a huge difference in my skin, it is no longer dry/flakey and in terms of the texture it feels so much more softer and smoother. The only disadvantage is the price, it is definitely expensive for a body moisturiser but a little goes a long way.

The amount of the times I rave talk about NARS here on my blog is probably getting out of hand, but I seriously cannot get enough of the brand! It is seriously one of my favourite brands. I love everything from the brand but to be more specific, I absolutely love the lip pencils. I have quite a handful and I thought I would show you all my little not so little collection.
The one thing I really like about the lip pencils is that they come in a wide variety of colours and finishes. I normally opt for pinks or nudes but I do have a few reds in my collection too. My ultimate favourite has to be Sex Machine, which is a velvet matte and is definitely a 'my lips but better' kind of shade. This was the first lip pencil I ever brought and whenever I'm stuck on what to wear, I always go to this. I recently picked up the current NARS lip pencil set for Summer 2015, which included another Sex Machine along with the shades Biscayne Park, a peachy brown nude and Stourhead, a pale lavender pink.
Now, honestly I think buying the NARS lip pencil sets are a great way to get better value for your money. They are pricey, I'm not going to lie but buying a set makes it so much more sense, especially since it saves you money! In fact I brought the NARS lip pencil coffret last year and I am completely obsessed with it to this day. If they are going to bring out another one this year, then I'm all for it! My favourite red has to be Mandore, which is a deep cranberry shade. It is definitely different to all the other reds out there and because it is satin lip pencil, it does not tug on the skin and it glides effortlessly. A new favourite is Rikugien, which is actually the birthday gift from Sephora! It is a rosy pink shade which has a sheen to it. It looks stunning on the lips and it is very wearable.

In terms of storing my NARS lip pencils, I recently brought my first MUJI drawers (I don't know why it took me so long!) which houses all of my lip products. Why? I can finally see what I have and it simply just looks so aesthetically pleasing when I see them in a line - haha! #OCD

Today I turn 23. Yes, 23! I know, I cannot believe it either. It feels just like yesterday I turned 16 and I was celebrating it whilst eating in Pizza Express. I guess not much has changed because I go to Pizza Express practically every month - haha! Although, I have to agree when they say that I am another year older and another year wiser, and so here are twenty two things I've learnt in the past year..

1. Trust your instincts.

2. Travel...more!

3. Meet your family/friends more often.

4. Continue drawing/sketching/painting.

5. Experiment.

6. Drink more water.

7. Exercise more - your metabolism is not what it used to be.

8. But then again, eat that cupcake or pizza if you really want it!

9. Explore.

10. Go to bed early - you'll regret it in the morning.

11. Invest in pieces that you will still love in 10 years time.

12. Forget about the past.

13. Focus on your future.

14. It's okay if you still haven't figured it out yet.

15. Take pictures. Lots of them!

16. Carry on baking and make new things.

17. You will feel out of place/as if you don't belong and that's okay, you will understand that it's not meant to be.

18. Stretch - your body will ache and you might even do your back in (again!) but remember to stretch everyday.

19. You do have a style. It's comfort and classic - never forget it.

20. Budget. Budget. Budget.

21. People will still ID you, thinking you're 17 and underage. (no complaining here - haha!)

22. Life will throw you off. Just get back up and carry on.

I have to admit, the fact that I can no longer sing 'I'm feeling 22..' by TSwift sucks! But I'm looking forward to what the future will bring and I will continue to be happy by the fact that people are shocked when they hear how old I am - haha!

If someone were to say to me that I would be loving lip products back in 2013, I would have laughed. Lip products were something I used to avoid because I did not use to like how it felt on the lips. I have since then discovered lip products which I love and thus, my obsession grew! More specifically, MAC lip products. I know many people avoid MAC, but for me, MAC is my fail safe. I will always find something that I would like whenever I'm looking for a new shade. They have a ton of different finishes and although the prices have increased dramatically over the years, it's something I can overlook - unless it comes to £18 per lipstick, which would be ridiculous!
My first ever MAC lipstick was the shade Sweetie. I remember being in duty free and instantly being drawn to the shade. I also remember asking the sale assistant if I could have the shade 'lustre' *hides in the corner - haha!* It is a true pink lipstick, which has some shimmer in it but this is barely visible on the lips. This is the same bullet I brought all those years ago and surprisingly it still has that yummy vanilla scent. Also, it feels lighter compared to my other lipsticks, which is a little weird! The most recent MAC lipstick I brought is Fanfare, which is a yellow toned pink. This is definitely the 'your lips but better' shade. As it is a creamsheen, it feels amazing on the lips and it stays for a pretty long time compared to a lustre finish lipstick.

The one shade I kept wearing during the Summer is Speed Dial. Again, this is a creamsheen so it feels great on the lips but it is very much a true Barbie pink but more wearable. I do like my pink lipsticks but more so, I prefer nude lipsticks - you can never have too many, right?! My ultimate favourite nude lipstick is Faux. I've recommended this to so many people and it's just a great shade to wear on an everyday basis. Now because we are going towards the colder months, the one shade that I opt for is Twig. This is much darker compared to Faux, as it is a muted pinkish brown but it is still wearable to wear every day. Both of these shades have a satin finish, so they are not quite matte but they have a little bit of a sheen to them. These are probably my favourite finishes from MAC, because they are so comfortable to wear but in terms of longevity, it is amazing.

I think it's no surprise to everyone who reads my blog, that I love NARS and so when I finally tried the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer last year, I was officially obsessed. Now I brought the concealer near enough a year ago and I wanted to post this after giving it a proper go, well I've been wearing this concealer every single day since and I can officially say that I can give it a proper review.
I brought two shades because my skintone is weird like that and nothing really ever matches me properly. Initially, I first picked up Ginger (which has a golden undertone and is for medium complexions), which is what I use to cover any blemishes etc on my face. However, I have found that if I was to apply this under my eyes, it would look really dark and so I picked up a shade lighter - Custard (which is more yellow toned and is for light to medium complexions). This is what I use to help conceal but also brighten up my under eye area, to help me look more awake and just alive to be honest - haha! Now if you're an NC30-NC37 in MAC, then these would probably be your best match in the whole range because there are SO many different shades and undertones to choose from!

NARS claims that it is long wearing and crease proof, which I have to admit is true. However I have noticed that if I applied too much under my eyes and then put my contacts in for example, I would be left with a finger print. However, by just setting it would powder would prevent this. It is also paraben-free, alcohol free, synthetic fragrance free and also non comedogenic, which essentially means that if you suffer from sensitive skin (like me) then this is great because it will not aggravate it.

In terms of coverage, this is probably one of the best full coverage concealers I have tried, without it looking cakey on the skin. I normally have a hard time with full coverage concealers because I find them to be too heavy on the skin, however this is not like that. In fact, you can barely feel this on the skin. It does not settle into any fine lines nor does it crease throughout the day. However, I have to mention two disadvantages and the the first is, it can be a little drying under the eyes. I noticed after a few months of using this, that my under eyes looked dry and so I started to use an eye cream again, and it did help with this. The second disadvantage, is the price as it is not the cheapest in the market but if you are looking for a new concealer then I do recommend it and definitely check it out in store before you buy it!

I mentioned in my higher end French haul, that I picked up the Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfectors duo. I've never tried the Clarins instant lip perfectors before and when I saw that in duty free, they had a duo for practically the same price I instantly picked it up, knowing that a lot of people have said great things about it.
In the duo contained Rose Shimmer (01) and Apricot Shimmer (02). Now these are the perfect mix between a balm, a tint and a lipgloss, which is all rolled into one with the perfect amount of colour, hydration and moisture. As you can see from the swatches above, both of these shades are not exactly bright and out there. They are very much subtle and they contain some shimmer however this is not translated onto the lips.

I know understand why these had so much hype a few years ago, when they were first released. They do not feel sticky on the lips and they smell incredible! Think a brand new MAC lipstick! In terms of packaging, it has a doe foot like applicator which is very easy to use on the go, to help apply the product without it being messy. Also, as it comes in a 'squeezy' tube (#technicalterm) it is so much more easier to use too! Now these do need to be reapplied every couple of hours but I can look past that as it is still a great product, however they are expensive for what they are.

As for the duo, I believe that this is a duty free exclusive, which sucks because it is such a great value!

Finally! Right? I initially brought the Kat Von D Shade and Light contour palette way back in April and I've been meaning to post a review of this palette for the longest time ever but I actually wanted to give it a proper go before I actually wrote a review, just to see how it actually performed.
First things first, you need this palette! Now that's a big claim, especially from me because I do not really recommend products just because everyone's needs are different. As I said before, I've been using this for the last couple of months and I can say that it helps to contour and highlight your face so much more easier. I know many say that the Anastasia Bev. Hills contour palette is similar and whilst I don't own that, I can understand where people are coming from, however I feel like this palette is much more wearable.
So the palette comes with six shades, the first row being all lighter shades which are perfect for highlighting and the bottom row which is great for contouring/bronzing up the skin. All of these shades are matte and although they can be a little powdery, I can overlook this because I'm in love with this palette.
I use the shade Lucid, which is a cool toned beige and Lyric, which is a neutral yellow toned beige. Both of these are perfect for me to emphasis and highlight areas of the face. The last highlight shade is Levitation, which is a warm toned peach and I feel with a light hand, this can be great as a setting powder for all over the face. It does not work well with my skintone as a highlight shade, but if you have a deeper squinting - O M G this would look great on you!
For contouring I use the shade Sombre, which is a cool toned taupe brown. This is perfect for creating shadows and adding definition to your face, which essentially is what contouring is! I have found that this is literally the best contouring shade for me, it does not look muddy/dirty on the skin and did I mention that it's perfect?! I normally swap between the shades Shadowplay, a warmer medium brown and Subconscious, a cool toned brown, to bronze up the skin, depending on how tanned I am.

As for the packaging, I love it. It is comes in a slim palette and has a magnetic closure, which is perfect for traveling. It also comes with a large mirror which is great for touch ups on the go. Now, the only two disadvantages I can think of, is the fact that the pans are not refillable (like the Anastasia Bev. Hills one is) although I've heard that Kat Von D is releasing a refillable palette next year and that it is only available in Sephora in the US/Canada - Kat Von D just needs to come to the UK already!

This post is a late but I still wanted to get it up. Last month MAC released the new Fix+ Extensions, which contained five new different scents (Coconut, Cucumber, Yuzu, Lavender and Rose). MAC Fix+ is targeted as a makeup setting spray however I would say that this is a finishing spray that helps to not make your makeup look cakey. It is said to be a lightweight, mineral rich finishing mist which refreshes the skin and finished the makeup. If you suffer from dry skin, like myself, then this is perfect. It helps to apply makeup a lot more smoother (if applied beforehand) and makes the skin look a lot more softer.

I brought the scents Yuzu and Lavender and I'm in love. Yuzu, is a Japanese fruit which I have to admit I have never heard of. It reminds me of a sweet lemon, it is citrus scent but has a sweet smell to it. I didn't think much of this when I ordered it but when it came in the post, I'm so glad I picked it up. Lavender is another scent I picked up on a whim. Now if you have read my blog for a long time then you will know that I am not a fan of lavender and rose (which I have actually just ordered but it has not arrived yet) but there is something about this scent that I'm loving. It is not overpowering at all and it just relaxes you, like lavender is supposed to do.

Even though these are scented, the scent does not last very long on the skin at all, which is great because then you will not smell like lavender all day! Unfortunately these are limited edition but I know that they are going to be available in duty free this month and if you are lucky then you can still get them at some MAC stores.

As I mentioned in my last post, I purchased the new MAC Whirl lipstick from the matte collection, at duty free. When the collection first released, I didn't think much of it. I already own the original whirl lipliner and I didn't think I would even want the lipstick but when I saw it in duty free, I instantly knew I had to have it - plus it was a little bit cheaper, haha!

As you can see from the swatches above, they are practically the same shade. It is a rosy brownish mauve which suits almost any skin tone. However I have found that even though this is a matte lipstick, it is much more hydrating on the lips than the lipliner. It is a lot more easier to work with and it does not tug on the skin, like most lipsticks/lipliners tend to do. Now I suffer from pretty dry lips but I have found that this does not dry out my lips nor does it look drying on the lips. Overall, it is a stunning shade and I highly recommend it!

As promised here is my 'high end' haul from when I went on holiday in the South of France. I recently posted my Sephora haul, and I mentioned that I brought a few higher end pieces so I thought I would show you all what I brought and if you are going abroad then I hope this gives you an idea on what to buy - #enabler.
When I went to Sephora (and yes, I did go numerous times - haha!) I went straight over to the Marc Jacobs stand. Unfortunately, you cannot get Marc Jacobs Beauty here in the UK so I made it a point to check it out. I picked up the Marc Jacobs Remedy concealer pen in the shade late show (04). When I tested this out on my hand, I was surprised how it covered but also brightened the area, I did choose a shade darker than usual but I feel like it suits me a lot better. It is looks a lot more natural and as if you are not wearing anything - when you really are!
The other Marc Jacobs product I brought was the nail polish in Delphine. I regretted not picking this up when I went to Vegas last year so I instantly added it to my basket this time around. It is an opaque smokey purple grey, which is perfect for the upcoming months.

If you follow me on Instagram, then you would have seen that when I was going at the airport, I picked up the hyped MAC lipstick in Whirl. It is a rosy brown shade which has a matte finish. On my way back from the South of France, I had time to browse around their duty free and I saw the Clarins Instant Lip Perfectors duo. Now I believe that this is exclusive for duty free as I've never seen it in store. I've been wanting to try this for a while now and I'm glad I picked it up!

I will be posting a review of both of these products soon, so make sure you are following me on on Bloglovin' to know when that is up :)
