I think everyone secretly loves to have a snoop in someone else's bag. I know I do. It is a great way to see what someone is using at the moment and what they absolutely love. So I thought it would be interesting to show you my everyday make up bag, which I do pop in my bag if I know I will be out all day long.
Having neglected my Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Diffused Heat for a while, I decided to put it in my make up bag so I can start to use it again. I have no idea why I stopped using it, it creates such a lovely natural flush of colour and glow on the skin. The Tarte Amazonian clay blush in Exposed, is one of my favourite nude blushes. In fact, I mentioned my all time favourites here. For bronzer, I have been obsessed with the MAC Studio Defining Bronzing powder in Delicates. Now this is a limited edition product which was released this year in the MAC Summer collection, and I have been using it ever since I brought it. I'm surprised I haven't hit pan yet! For a face powder, I have been using the Sephora 8 Hour Mattifying powder in medium (30). I picked this up when I was in Nice this year and I really do like it. It does mattify whilst also adding some coverage.
For concealers, I have been using the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Nude again, this is one of my favourite 'drugstore' concealer. Another product, which is a new one for me is the Soap & Glory Kick Ass concealer in medium. I have been using the darker shade to colour correct my dark circles and then I apply my Maybelline concealer on top. It lasts all day and it does not look cakey at all!
For mascara, I've been using the Benefit They're Real mascara. I really do like this mascara, it adds length to my sparse lashes, along with some volume. It is a pain to remove but nothing like an oil based make up remover can't handle. For brows, it has to be the Soap and Glory Archery brow pencil in Hot Chocolate. This is the one product that I cannot be without in my collection, along with the Miss Sporty Clear Mascara. I have been using this for years (since I was 16?) and it is my favourite. For eyeliner, I have been trying to use up the Sephora Contour eye pencil in Black Lace, whilst it is a great eyeliner, I have so many that I need to use up. Another is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On pencil in Demolition, which is a dark brown shade. For liquid eyeliner, I have been switching between the Sephora Fine Line liner, which dries matte and the Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes, which has a sheen when dried. I like both since they both last all day and are pretty opaque. I always keep my Shu Umera eyelash curlers with me too.
For lips, I keep two balms with me. First is the MAC Tinted Lip Conditioner in Petting Pink, which helps to protect my lips whilst also adding colour. I think this is actually discontinued. The Nivea SOS Lip Relief, which is my all time favourite. If you have chapped or sore lips, then you need this! On an everyday basis, I opt for a nude lip so I have a few options. The Sephora lip liner in Pale Beige (14), NARS Satin lip pencil in Rikugien, MAC lipstick in Kiss The King (limited edition) and my all time favourite Rimmel Nottinghill Nude

As for the make up bag, this was a part of a Marc Jacobs set from Sephora. It actually holds a lot whilst also being compact. It also has a mirror which can be stored on the side, which is great for touch ups on the go. I'd love to know what you keep in your make up bags?

A few months ago, I post An Ode to Peach post and many of you seemed to like it. So today I thought I would write another post and mention my favourite nude blushers. I have a few nude blushers in my collection, some of which are limited edition so I have not mentioned them in this post because you can no longer get a hold of them. However, here are three of my all time favourites which I'm sure everyone owns or can still get a hold of.
First up is Dallas by Benefit, which I feel is completely underrated. It is said to be 'an outdoor glow for an indoor gal' and I can see where Benefit are coming from. For me, this doubles up as both a bronzer and a blusher. It adds a natural flush of colour to the cheeks without looking muddy or patchy. I would say that this is a neutral dusty rose, which does have some shimmer/a sheen to it, however when applied on the cheeks, this is barely visible.
The next blush is the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour blush in the shade Exposed. I have had this for a few months now and I can honestly say, that a little goes a long way. It is very pigmented and incredibly long lasting on the cheeks. It is described as a 'nude' however when swatched it is a lot pink than I imagined. Yet, when applied on the cheeks, it is such a neutral blush that it goes with any make up look. Last of all, is NARS Douceur. Now I think this has been discontinued, which is such a shame because it is a stunning soft pink brown shade, which would suit every skin tone. I have a few NARS blushers in my collections and this is one that I opt for every time. Like Exposed, a little goes a long way and I am so glad I rediscovered this in my collection.

From the three, I would say Dallas is an all time favourite. Plus, it is every lazy girl's product! Although, I know that these products are not exactly affordable, so if you have any cheaper alternatives then be sure to leave a comment.

Since it was my birthday a few weeks ago, I decided to buy a few things that I have been wanting for sometime. I was browsing around in Selfridges - as you do! And I came across the new Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. Now, if you have been reading my blog for a very long time, then you will know that I am not one to wear foundation on a daily basis. I normally cannot stand how it feels on the skin, so I opt for concealer on a regular basis. However, when I tested it on the back of my hand (and when I got colour matched) I fell in love. This is probably the one foundation that matches me perfectly, and that's saying something!
The new Charlotte Tilbury Magic foundation is said to be a 'miracle in a bottle', it supposedly transforms the skin no matter the age, the tone or the type. It has a 'hyper-intelligent' formula that gives full coverage but it feels completely weightless on the skin. Unlike most full coverage foundation, this does not look nor feel cakey on the skin. It just makes your skin look flawless. It is said to cover any acne or acne scarring, it tightens the pores, helps to reduce shine and the one thing which surprised me was the fact that it is said to minimise oil production after just 9 weeks! It also covers any redness, rosacea, discolouration and melasma, along with helping to reduce over production of melanocytes - which causes any pigmentation issues.

I have noticed that whilst wearing this foundation, my skin looks a lot plumper which actually lives up to the claims that it smoothes the appearance of fine line and wrinkles and gives a more rested, refreshed look to the skin. It also says to reduce age spots by 75%. So there is a whole lot of science behind this foundation as it contains a broad spectrum SPF 15, magical luridly, hyaluronic filling spheres and vitamin C which helps to fight ageing effects. So as I said, there is a lot of science behind this foundation and whilst some are bit extreme, I can definitely say that this is one of my favourites. Considering it has been 5 years in the making, I feel as if CT has really hit the nail on the head with this one. It covers my redness along with any scarring I may have from previous acne, and even my dark circles! It is said to have a matte finish, however I would say more of a semi-matte.

I was matched to the shade 7, which is a neutral caramel for both medium to tan skin tones, who have a warm golden or olive undertone, so if you are around an NC35-37 in MAC then this would be your best match. The one thing I have to mention is the price. I was fairly surprised on how 'affordable' it is, considering it is a high end brand. It is under £30, which is still pricey however when you look at other foundations on the high-end market, it is one of the cheapest.

As I mentioned in my Monthly Buys #1, I picked up the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base in Nude Radiance. Now I have been looking for a primer/base which helps to create a more dewy and healthier look to the skin, since the weather has changed, my skin tends to look a little bit more dull. I kept coming back to this base and after reading a ton of reviews, I decided to pick it up.
I have been using it for a few weeks now and it definitely makes a difference. It almost creates a boost of luminosity to the skin, as if you have changed something in your skin care routine but you haven't! I have been either mixing it with my moisturiser or with my foundation, or I have tried using it as a subtle highlight on the tops of my cheekbones and it gives off a 'glow from within' kind of look.

As you can see it is a very cool toned pearl like shade, with super finely milled shimmer running through it. At first, the shimmer put me off however when blended into the skin, it is practically undetectable and you will not look like a disco ball. It contains anti-agers which helps to restore the skin's elasticity and wild rose extracts help to increase hydration levels. Also, the fact that it is fragrance free means it will not irritate your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin.
As a primer, I do not feel like it extends the wear of my foundation however by mixing it with my moisturiser, it helps to add a more healthy and dewy look to the skin. There is another one in the range, which is more warm toned and if you have a deeper skintone, then it will look amazing on you!

Have you tried this yet? The only thing which put me off from buying it sooner, is the price however I brought it when FeelUnique had 15% off, so it made it a lot easier.

It's that time of year again, when I show you all my top five nail polish picks for the season. Autumn is definitely my favourite time of year, simply because I can start to wear darker shades without feeling a little odd and goth like.
Although, having said that my first choice this year is Essie Parka Perfect. This was a part of Essie's Winter Collection for 2013, and it is still going strong. It is a dusty blue with some iridescent shimmer running through it, however it is barely visible when applied on the nails. This can be a one coater, however I like to do two just incase. Another shade from the Winter 2013 collection is Shearling Darling. This is a true dark red with a creme finish. Even though I do not really wear red nail polish, this is my exception. I prefer darker reds because I feel like my skin tone suits it better. Even though Parka Perfect and Shearling Darling are from a previous collection, I'm sure you can still get them instore/online.
Next up is Muscadine, which is from the brand Soigné , I mentioned this polish way back last year and it is still one of my favourites. It is different to any purple I have in my collection and that's what I like about it. It is a true deep rich purple, which also has a creme finish. A new addition to my collection is Chanel Vert Obscur, which is a part of their Autumn/Winter 2015 Collection. This is a blackened green, which has a hint of teal running through it. It is absolutely an amazing shade and I'm so glad I picked it up. One shade which is on the complete opposite side of the spectrum is Formula X Thrilling, I brought this when I was in the South of France a few months ago, and it is a gorgeous everyday neutral light beige. I cannot get enough of these Formula X nail polishes and if you live near a Sephora, then I highly recommend to check them out.

I thought I would start a new series here on my blog where I show you all what I have brought in the last month. I normally mention things that I really like here on my blog but I feel as if I should mention items that have not worked for me too. This past month I have been quite spendy but I justified it because it was my birthday month - woohoo!
I popped into Boots at the beginning of the month and I picked up a new Soap and Glory Archery brow pencil in Hot Chocolate. This is my ultimate favourite brow pencil which is very comparable to the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz however it only comes in two shades. I finished this at the beginning of the month and the next day I went out and brought it again. As it was 3 for 2, I also decided to branch out a little and pick up a few more items from the brand. I opted for the Kiss Ass concealer in medium. I have been eyeing this up for the past couple of years but I never brought it, however I had a chance to swatch it beforehand and I really liked it on the back of my hand. It covers my dark circles very easily and I love how compact it is, as it also contains a setting powder. Another product I picked up was the One Heck of a Blot powder. This is very good at keeping shine/oil at bay. Even though I have dry skin, I can get a little shiny on my T-zone, so having a powder on hand is essential.
Fast forward a few weeks and along came my birthday. I always treat myself to something high end on my birthday, I mean, why not! So I picked up the new Chanel nail polish in Vert Obscur, which is a dark green nail polish. This is very different to anything I already own and as I enjoy wearing darker shades on my nails, I could not stop looking at this polish. Another product is the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base in Nude Radiance. I have yet to try any make up product from Burberry, so I was testing out a few products from the brand. When I tested this on the back of my hand, it provided such luminosity that I knew I had to get it. I have been looking for a radiant primer to help me look more alive, especially as we go into the colder months.

The last product I picked up this month was the new Marc Jacobs Decadence EDP. I cannot explain how much I really like this perfume. In fact, I have already dedicated a whole post to this perfume if you want a more detailed review, but for now, all I can say is that it's amazing and go and smell it.

As I said before, I have been spendy this month but I justified it with the fact that I managed to get 15% off the Chanel nail polish and the Burberry base, along with 25% off the new MJ perfume! What have you brought this past month??

If you haven't seen the adverts for the new Marc Jacobs Decadence perfume then you are definitely missing out. Marc Jacobs is definitely one of my favourite perfume brands. I have quite a handful of his perfumes, simply because they can never let me down and so when I saw this perfume, I knew I would like it.
This scent is different to any of my perfumes in my collection. It is definitely a strong evening perfume and that is one of the reasons why I brought it. I normally get stuck on what scent to wear in the evenings when I'm going out and when I first smelt this, I really liked it as it different to anything I have smelt before. Here are the notes:
Top: Italian Plum, Iris, Saffron Heart.
Heart: Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Orris.
Base: Liquid Amber, Vertiver, Papyrus Woods.
By looking at the notes, I didn't think I would like it as much as I do as it is very woody but the more I had it on my skin, the more I liked it. I first got a sample last week and I could not stop smelling myself because that's how good it smelt! It definitely changes on the skin throughout the day, by creating a very sensual and warming scent and so it is perfect for the evening. It lasted all day on the skin and for a few days after on my clothes, it's really quite amazing!
Now on to the packaging. It is absolutely stunning! It is probably not the most practical in the sense of travel, but I can look past that because I don't travel with mine. It is a luxurious bottle in the shape of a handbag, which is inspired by Marc Jacobs handbags. It is definitely a well made perfume bottle, everything from the faux green python skin to the gold chain to the black tassel, just screams glamour. This is definitely one to show off in your perfume collection.

It is not the cheapest perfume out there but I expect no less from MJ, although I did purchase this from Escentual when they had 25% off all fragrances so it was definitely a lot cheaper. Have you smelt the new Marc Jacobs Decadence perfume yet? If so, then what did you think? Is there anything other new perfumes which are out that I have to smell?

It has been a while since I've done a round up of all the products I've been loving for the past month or so, but I have pretty much been using the same products however I have rediscovered a few old favourites and some new favourites.
As the weather has changed my skin has been feeling a little more drier than usual and so I decided to repurchase the MAC Complete Comfort cream. I haven't used this in years and when I was in MAC a few weeks ago I saw it and I remembered why I liked it. It instantly hydrates my skin and whilst doing so, it does not irritate it. As my skin is sensitive, it helps to calm my skin whilst not breaking me out. For added hydration, I've been using the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Hydrating primer. It makes your skin feel and look a lot plumper and softer. Again, this does not break me out either unlike the TooFaced Hangover primer - which I love but I think it breaks me out *insert sad face*
Sticking with moisture, I have been obsessed with the Kiehl's Creme de Corps body moisturiser. This is a brand new product for me and I'm glad I have it go this month, I have dedicated a whole post to this.
In terms of make up this month, I've been using the same things but I have rediscovered the Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Rewind concealer, as I have officially finished my NARS Radiant Creamy concealers. It is a great under eye concealer which helps to cover your dark circles. It blends effortlessly into the skin and so it does not look cakey either. If you read my latest Sephora haul, then you would have known that I purchased the Sephora Fine Line liner. I have finished the Kat Von D liner and so I was looking for a pen like liner, and this has definitely ticked my boxes. The tip is so fine that it helps to create a very precise flick. I have been using this ever since I brought it and it has not frayed either! It stays on all day but it is very easy to remove at the end of the day.

As I mentioned before, I do not have a ton of products this month but these are the products that have really stood out to me. What have you been loving this month??
